Anne-Marie Duff was born in London in England. She is an English actress. After graduating from Drama Centre London Duff made TV appearances on Trial & Retribution Amongst Women and Aristocrats in the late 1990s. She became famous for her role as Fiona Gallagher, the lead character on UK TV's Shameless during its first two seasons. In the following seasons, she was The Virgin Queen Elizabeth I in The Virgin Queen (2006) and also the lead role in the television show From Darkness in 2015. Duff played roles in films such as Enigma 2001 The Magdalene Sisters French Film 2008. The Last Station Nowhere Boy Before I fall asleep (2015) as well as Suffragette. The roles she played of Shameless The Virgin Queen Nowhere Boy and Suffragette have earned the BAFTA nominations in categories like the Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress categories and she was given an award called the BAFTA Cymru Award for Best Actress for her performance in the television movie The History of Mr Polly. Anne-Marie Duff has been a successful award-winning English Actress who established herself on stages, on radio and in television. Her fame was largely due to her performances as Fiona Gallagher on the British comedy drama show Shameless and as The Queen Elizabeth in The Virgin Queen. Anne-Marie is also an outstanding theatre actor who has more than two decades of on-stage performances that include working extensively with the Royal National Theatre.
